This pair of "Klinte" armchairs were designed by Tord Björklund in the 1980s and made in Sweden. With their elegant balance between industrial materials and relaxed comfort, these chairs are a clear example of the expression of modern Scandinavian design during the late 20th century.
The armchairs have a robust but lightly chromed steel frame that is contrasted by generous seats and backrests in patinated cognac-colored leather. The visible stitching and suspension in the leather highlight the craftsmanship and the natural character of the material. The armrests are upholstered in matching leather, which creates a cohesive expression and high comfort.
The armchairs are comfortable, stylish and bear clear influences from Bauhaus and modernism, but have their own Swedish identity. They are equally suitable for the living room as for an office or lounge, and serve as both an eye-catcher and a functional seat.
The leather shows a beautiful and authentic patina with signs of wear that contribute to the overall character. The frames are in excellent condition and stable.
Measure; Height 57, Width 68, Depth 62, Seat height 40 cm.
